Happy to be Back

I love my sister-in-law's blog.  Here it is: Memories of May. My sis in law is an amazing woman and I'm very blessed to have her in my life.  Her happy and creative blog inspired me to start scrapbooking my life as a mom and wife again.  I love to scrapbook.  Blogging allows me to scrapbook without all the glue, shiny stickers, and paper shreds!

My life has changed dramatically this past year.  God lead me to a crossroad and I chose to take the one that would be most challenging for me.  And it has been VERY challenging.  After 8 sweet years of being a full time mommy/homemaker I entered back into the wonderful world of teaching.  God has taught me so much about myself and my little family this past year.  I'm happy to say that I'm sticking to the path God has placed in front of me.  With His help and the help of my hubby and family, I know this coming year will be wonderful! The exciting peaks and difficulty valleys definitely prepared me for this upcoming year.

For now, there is about a month left of Summer for me.  So, I'm going to soak in all the sun and enjoy my children's happy smiles.
Speaking of happy smiles:  I snapped these photos in our favorite family destination:  South Padre Island!  We enjoy the sand and surf.  We always come back a little bit sunburned and a little closer as a family unit.  So thankful for summer memories.

Something I enjoy

I love to take pictures. I really love to take pictures. I have watched my father photograph weddings, couples, families, seniors, etc. since I was a little girl. My dad gave me my first photography lesson prior to going to Zimbabwe in 1999. He taught me to visualize the photo before taking the shot. I enjoy taking pictures. I am no professional. I'm a hobbyist. I don't own a SLR. I just stick to my point and shoot. Or it sticks to me! I look forward to posting some of my favorites.
